JumpCloud Identity Provider

This article walks you through configuring JumpCloud for use as an identity provider for Perimeter 81. You will need to follow the two steps -

  1. Configure
  2. Configure Perimeter 81
 

1. Configure the JumpCloud SSO Application

Prerequisites:

You must generate a public certificate and private key pair to connect Perimeter 81 to JumpCloud. Follow the instructions from:

  1. Access the JumpCloud Administrator Console at https://console.jumpcloud.com.

  2. Select Applications in the main navigation panel.

  3. Select the + in the upper left, scroll or search for the application in the 'Configure New Application' side panel, the select 'configure'.

  4. In the IDP Entity ID field, enter https://{{workspace}}.perimeter81.com/

For example: myworkspacename.perimeter81.com

  1. In the SP Entity ID field, enter urn:auth0:perimeter81:{{WORKSPACE}}-oc

For example: myworkspacename.perimeter81.com workspace should translate to
urn:auth0:perimeter81:myworkspacename-oc

In the ACS URL field, enter https://auth.perimeter81.com/login/callback?connection={{WORKSPACE}}-oc

For example https://auth.perimeter81.com/login/callback?connection=myworkspacename-oc

  1. Define the user attributes as follows:
    Name: email
    Value: email
  1. In the field terminating the IdP URL, either leave the default value or enter a plaintext string unique to this connector.

  2. (Optional) In the Display Label field, enter a label that will appear under the Service Provider logo within the JumpCloud User console.

  3. Select Activate.

 

2. Configure Perimeter 81

At this point, you will configure the integration from the Perimeter 81 side.

  1. Log in to your Perimeter 81 management dashboard, and navigate to Settings -> Security.

  2. Click + Add Provider

  3. Choose Okta Identity Cloud

  4. Fill Sign In URL, Signing Certificate

  5. Add your organisation domain

  6. Paste the certification from JumpCloud

  1. Click Done.

3. Access Error troubleshooting

If your users are getting access error after the configuration ,please check these steps.
